‘Of all man’s architectural and design works, it is gardens that form the greater perfection’ wrote the father of inductive reasoning, Francis Bacon.  Unlike buildings, which are relatively stable and can be created with impressive precision, gardens are mutable entities made up of transient living elements, and that’s why I find it so challenging yet fulfilling to photograph them.
